Campaign Funds Returned to Parishes

Finally, the total “give back” from the “Parish Share” category of the Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future Capital Campaign as of January 31, 2012 is $16,280,472!  The total funds returned to the parishes is amazing, especially when compared with the original “Parish Share” campaign goal of $7 million (see chart above).  Based upon the campaign parameters noted above, the total “give back” to the parishes is broken down as follows:

• As of January 31, 2012 total payments to parishes @ 25% redemption rate = $5.3 million (parishes up to 100% of goal)

• As of January 31, 2012 total payments to parishes @75% redemption rate = $7.7 million (parishes at greater than 100% goal)

• As of January 31, 2012 total payments to parish @ 100% redemption rate = $3.3 million (parish due 100% of pledge cash after goal reached)

• Total “Give Back” to parishes = $16,280,472

Did You Know?

All funds contributed to the capital campaign are administered by the Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future Foundation, Inc. a non-profit corporation that is legally separate from the Bishop of the Diocese of Fresno.  The Foundation was incorporated in June 2005 and is run by its own eleven member Board of Directors who oversee investment and distribution of campaign funds.  The Board meets at least four times per year and makes all decisions to award campaign funds.  Having a Foundation Board that was deliberately set up to operate separately and distinctly from the Diocese of Fresno insures that the intent of our donors is followed when distributing funds and that campaign monies can not be used to pay debt (including legal bills) of the diocese.
