          KNXT-TV Channels 49 & 38

 

1)       Position: KNXT Master Control Operator 

            Deadline for Applications:  Open until filled.

            Position is PART TIME – 20  hours per week. Non-Exempt.

 

SUMMARY:  

Operate professional television equipment accurately and appropriately in order for KNXT-TV to present programming on-the-air in accordance with the broadcast program log and in compliance with all applicable FCC requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Media, Liberal Arts or Fine Arts required. 

Student pursuing such a degree will also be considered.  College-level or professional experience operating professional broadcast television equipment highly desirable.

 

2)        KNXT  Development Assistant.     Part- Time Clerical Position

 

           This position supports the Director of Development for KNXT-TV by providing clerical support, coordinating volunteers and imputing data.  

           This position works with the Raisers edge software package, which is a spreadsheet-based program. Candidates must be detail oriented.

 

           This is a part time position located at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno, 1550 N Fresno St; Fresno CA.

3)         KNXT Channel 49 is seeking a Supervising Engineer

             KNXT is a Catholic television station, owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno.  Our broadcasting range is from Bakersfield

           (Channel 57) to northern Kern County and from Avenal to the mountains in the east.  We are the Central Valley’s only multi-language station that

            offers programming in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Hmong.

 

            The Supervising Engineer is a key position with the station. We are seeking someone with a technical background.  This position is responsible for    

            the instillation, maintains and updates of broadcast and production equipment at the studio, production van and transmitter sites.

 

            Some of the duties of the job are monitoring of equipment, adjusting and repairing whatever piece of equipment necessary; recommending and   

            installing all transmission and production equipment; training staff on new equipment, trouble shooting, repairs, and maintain inventory for equipment

            repair, keep up-to date on FCC Rules and Regulations.

 

           A person who will generally fit this description will have a technical school or a military background in electronics and be willing to work themselves

           up the ladder by on the job training.

  

           This is a full time benefited position.  The position is open until filled.
